Deepti Singh - Maid of Honor
Suhaila and Deepti met at high school and they have been close friends since then. Even though they went to different universities they have kept their friendship strong. Deepti and Suhaila experienced plenty of ‘growing up’ together. Deepti is Suhaila’s sister from another mother. ha ha. Suhaila will always love Deepti’s unconditional friendship and support with everything.
Kashfi Mahmud - Bridesmaid
Suhaila knew Kashfi ever since her mama (uncle) married Kashfi’s khalamuni (aunt). Suhaila was a shy child as a result she did not get to know the outgoing Kashfi. However, when Suhaila moved to Toronto they connected – talking and laughing about Kashfi’s bedroom ‘light fixture’. ha ha. Suhaila will always admire Kashfi’s strong, caring and charming personality.
Miki Dewan - Bridesmaid
Suhaila was introduced to Miki at an Eid party that she did not want to attend with her family. However, the Eid Party turned out to be fun as she met Miki and they really got along, especially with their ‘camera’ – taking random pictures. Suhaila really enjoys sharing her friendship with Miki – the one & only strong Bengali friend. ha ha. Suhaila will always remember Miki teaching her to eat Sushi and her giving personality.
Rumana Faroque - Bridesmaid
Suhaila and Rumana share plenty of ‘odd similarities’; such as OCD tendencies, believes in ghosts, share the same birthday month and star sign, and most importantly loves playing with baby Rashad/ Rashu (their nephew). ha ha. Suhaila was truly amazed at Rumana wrapping gift skills during her wedding ceremony. Suhaila will always respect Rumana’s feminist side and independence.
Shaila Faroque - Bridesmaid
Suhaila’s dream of having a ‘sister’ was fulfilled when her brother married Shaila. Suhaila and Shaila love spending girlie time and getting ready for bengali dawats. They both are leftie and very artistic. Shaila is very talented at hair straightening while listening and singing to hindi songs. ha ha. Suhaila will always love Shaila’s patience and unconditional support she gave for her marriage.
